Camila

In Virgil's Aeneid, Camilla is a warrior princess who runs so fast she can skim across a field of wheat without bending the stalks — a detail the Romans loved, and one that has followed the name for two thousand years. The Volscian heroine, raised in the wild and dedicated to Diana, was Virgil's most lyrical female warrior, and the image of her speed-running across grain has hung around the name like a ghost.
