Neelima

Neel is the Sanskrit word for that specific blue — the dark, saturated blue of monsoon clouds, of a sapphire held to light, of Krishna's skin as the poets described it. Neelima takes that color and abstracts it further into an almost philosophical noun: not 'blue' but 'blueness,' the quality itself rather than any object that has it.
