Elowyn

Elowyn drifts out of contemporary fantasy and Cornish mist, a variation of Elowen, the Cornish word for elm tree. The y spelling gives it a slightly more ornate, slightly more invented feel, at home among the Arwens and Briars of the current mythic-leaning nursery. At rank 447, it has climbed swiftly in just a few years, riding the wave of nature names and soft-consonant girl names that define the decade.
