Aurora

Aurora was the Roman goddess of dawn, said to rise each morning from the ocean in a chariot drawn by winged horses, scattering rose-colored light across the sky before her brother the sun arrived. The name is simply the Latin for dawn. It surfaces in poetry — Aurora Leigh, the Borealis — and in Sleeping Beauty, which helped push it into the American top twenty in the last decade. Three syllables that roll like an incantation, all round vowels and soft r's. Celestial, mythological, a name that sounds like the first light through a curtain. It carries weight without weighing anyone down.
